So I got this piano tutoring job. Easy enough. Teach little kids how to play piano, right? Except there's this little girl that's attention span is about, say, the time for me to -oh no, wait, it's gone. How am I suppose to teach her anything if she can't even wait for me to finish a sentence? Granted, I realized that my sentences are pretty lengthy, but really, is it that hard?

On a side note, I was tutoring this grade 9 kid math today. He couldn't do addition and subtraction. I spent the half an hour trying to teach him that 1-(-1)=2. He still didn't get it. I don't understand. I couldn't even WORD the laws of addition any simpler... and believe me I was thinking sooo hard.


We had a teacher transfer in to teach Chemistry 11. All his students are doing horrendously in his class. I was wondering why that was, so I went to the library and took out a whole bunch of Chemistry textbooks/workbooks. After a few hours of digging, I realized that he was throwing in university level questions in there (well, out of books that prep for University courses...). Everybody in the OTHER Chem teacher's class is getting like, 90%+. My spirits deteriorate as my grades dip below the 90's. Fuck.
